Pune News: Senior citizen detained from Pune airport for spreading rumours about bomb around her

Pune: In a shocking incident, a female senior citizen was detained by the Vimantal police for spreading rumours about multiple bombs attached to her body. The incident took place on Thursday, August 3. The accused has been identified as Neeta Kriplani.
Vilas Sonde, Police Inspector, Vimantal Police Station said, ” During the night of August 3, the accused was travelling from Pune to Delhi on a flight of Indigo airline. Upon approaching the security check frisking booth, she said that she has bombs attached to her body. The security personnel immediately informed the Vimantal Police and detained her. However, upon checking her, it was found out that there was no bomb on her. As a result, the Vimantal police filed an FIR against Kriplani for spreading rumours & frightening other passengers & workers at the airport. When the police asked her the reasons for spreading the rumour, she irresponsibly said that she was just having fun.”
As per information, the Vimantal police have registered a case against Kriplani under Sections 505, 182 & other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
