The Bandh, which began in the early hours of Thursday, April 20 saw a complete shutdown of the Market Yard area, with shops and businesses remaining closed for the day.

The demand for the withdrawal of false cases came after a group of women had accused some APMC office bearers of molestation and atrocity. The traders, however, denied the allegations, saying that they were false and baseless. They claimed that the cases were filed against them as part of a conspiracy to defame them and harass them.

The traders have alleged that administration had banned the illegal sale activity of lemon in the market yard area, hence to take revenge of this false cases have been registered against office bearers of the APMC.

The Market Yard Bandh was supported by several traders’ associations and other organizations, who came out in large numbers to show their solidarity with the traders. They also demanded that the police take action against those who filed false cases and those who were behind the conspiracy to defame the traders.

The Bandh remained peaceful throughout the day, with no reports of any violence or clashes. The police, who were present in large numbers to maintain law and order, ensured that the Bandh remained peaceful and that there was no disruption of public order.

The one-day Market Yard Bandh has had a significant impact on the local economy, with several businesses in the area suffering losses due to the shutdown. The traders, however, have said that they are willing to face the short-term losses for the sake of their long-term interests and for the cause of justice.
