Thinly slice the sausage into coins. Stir the sausage, tomatoes & herbs into the cooked oatmeal. Transfer to a bowl. Top with arugula & pine nuts, drizzle the remaining 1tsp oil/butter. Serve with lemon wedges, if desired.

2) Masala Oats and egg

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup GoodEatz masala oats
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp onion
  • 1/4 avocado sliced
  • 2 cherry tomatoes chopped
  • 1 large egg, fried
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha

Cover & refrigerate overnight.

>Step 2:

Stir in onion & microwave in 30sec intervals, stirring occasionally, until heated through. Arrange in a bowl with Avocado & tomatoes. Top with the egg & sriracha.

Tips:

People with celiac or gluten sensitivity should use oats that are labelled “gluten-free”, as oats are often cross-contaminated with wheat & barley.

3) Oats Bhajia

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup GoodEatz masala oats
  • 1/2 cup Chickpeas flour
  • 1/4 cup Rice flour
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • A pinch hing
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Few curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander
  • Oil for frying

Method:

>Step 1:

Soak oats in 1/2 a cup of water for 5mins. Meanwhile, in a bowl take the flours with red chilli powder, salt, hing, cumin & fennel seeds & mix well.

>Step 2:

Add the soaked oats & give a good mix. Finally, add curry leaves & chopped coriander leaves & mix them & keep it ready. Now our bhajia batter is ready.

>Step 3:

Heat oil in a pan, when the oil is hot enough, take the batter in your hand & just drop it gently into the oil. We don’t need to make circles out of the batter, we could just drop the batter here & there & keep the flame at medium & fry. Gently stir & turn the bhajia to fry them evenly from all sides. When they turn golden brown colour & crispy, remove them from the oil & place it in a paper towel to drain the excess oil. Repeat the same for the remaining batter. Serve hot with a dip of your choice.
