The long-awaited flyover on Narveer Tanaji Malusare Road (Sinhagad Road) in Pune is nearing completion. This project, connecting Rajaram Bridge to Dhayari, was initially slated to open on April 1 but has been pushed back a month.

The flyover is a much-needed solution to the chronic traffic congestion that has plagued Sinhagad Road for years, causing inconvenience to thousands of commuters.

Construction began in September 2021 by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) with an initial December 2025 deadline set by the Special Projects Department.

The project has progressed remarkably well, with 90% of the construction now complete. A PMC official has confirmed that the project is now in its final phase.

“Tasks such as painting, installing streetlights, and placing direction boards are currently underway, and it will take approximately a month to complete,” he said.

The flyover is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion on Sinhagad Road, providing relief to daily commuters once completed.
