Pune News : SMIRA Foundation holds Tree Plantation Drive With Anandvan Foundation on NIBM Road

Pune: In a move to raise awareness about the environment, SMIRA Foundation, along with Anandvan Foundation, organized a tree plantation drive near Cloud 9 society on NIBM road, Kondhwa, Pune on Saturday.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Amaan Shariyarr, Core Member, SMIRA Foundation, Pune said, “The success of the tree plantation drive can be attributed to meticulous planning and community engagement. SMIRA Foundation and Anandvan Foundation’s joint efforts resulted in extensive awareness campaigns and educational programs that emphasized the importance of forest conservation. These initiatives ensured the participation of a wide cross-section of society, spreading the message of environmental stewardship and inspiring others to take similar actions.
As per information from Amaan Shariyarr, the tree plantation drive organized by SMIRA Foundation was met with an overwhelming response from the community. A total of 35 plus volunteers, including youngsters, professionals, and concerned citizens, joined hands to plant trees and create a positive impact on the local ecosystem. Supported by local authorities and eco-conscious sponsors, the event exemplified the power of collaboration in driving environmental change.
Along with Amaan Shariyarr, the Founder of SMIRA Foundation Varsha Purohit & other core members of the foundation Sonal Zingade, Rahul Purohit, Khushi Sharma, Jatin Henny Ednani, Chelsea Misquitta, Janice D’Souza & Mohnish Sankhe were present during the drive.
During the drive, the volunteers demonstrated unwavering dedication as they planted saplings in designated urban forest areas. The initiative not only aimed to increase green cover but also focused on the holistic well-being of the forests. Anandvan experts also provided proper guidance on tree care, waste management, and ensuring the long-term success and sustainability of the planted trees.
