Pimpri-Chinchwad: The controversial company Thermoverita Private Limited, associated with the Khedkar family, was sealed by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s Tax Collection and Assessment Department on Friday (19th) due to unpaid property taxes. The company’s director owes the Municipal Corporation an outstanding amount of ₹277,000.
Thermoverita Private Limited is located in Jyotibanagar, Talawade Gaothan, and is linked to the family of IAS trainee officer Pooja Khedkar, which has drawn the company into controversy. The company is registered under M.D. Khedkar. All relevant documents have been reviewed by the Municipal Corporation.
The company had been paying professional tax since 2009, with the last payment made in 2022. Since then, no further taxes have been paid, leading to an outstanding amount of ₹277,781. Consequently, the property was seized as per regulations. This action was taken under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh, and Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale-Patil, by the Tax Collection and Assessment Department. During the operation, administrative officers Nana More, L.M. Kale, the relevant clerks, and MSF personnel were present.
