Pune News : Tourist dies by falling in 1200 feet deep gorge in Plus Valley of Tamhini Ghat

A shocking incident took place in Tamhini Ghat as a tourist died by falling into a 1,200 feet gorge in Plus Valley.

A tourist died after falling into a 1,200-feet-deep gorge at Plus Valley in Tamhini Ghat in Mulshi taluka. He had come from Pimpri Chinchwad area in the valley with his friends.

The deceased was accompanied by five other friends. The tourist went down for a swim in the pool of water in Plus Valley.

As the deceased did not estimate the depth of the water, he started drowning. Other friends tried to save their friend, but he couldnt be saved. 

Upon getting information about the incident, the disaster management team rushed to the spot and took out the dead body by going down into the 1,200 feet deep gorge.

Although Mulshi taluka is famous for tourism, tourists should take complete information about the tourist spots while coming here. The senior police inspector of Paud Police Station has appealed to take adequate safety measures.
