Pune News : Vegetable vendor tries to throw liquid at PMC official ; Sinhagad Road Police register case
Around 6.30 pm on Friday, while the civic authorities were carrying out an anti-encroachment drive in Vadgaon Budruk on Sinhagad Road, a woman selling vegetables charged at a PMC engineer carrying a bottle containing an unknown liquid.
Intentional insults, criminal intimidation, and use of force to prevent a public servant from performing his duties were all reported to the Sinhagad Road police.
Later that evening, the Karvenagar-based assistant engineer filed a police complaint.
The bottle has been taken by the police. According to a police officer on Sinhagad Road, the bottle’s contents smell like gasoline. For additional investigation, they are sending it for a forensic test, though.
The police official went on to say that the woman charged at them with the liquid-filled bottle while the Sinhagad Road ward officers were conducting an anti-encroachment drive in the vicinity. She continued to threaten and abuse them despite not throwing the liquid at them.
