In a groundbreaking move, the Wagholi Welfare Foundation, in collaboration with Pune Traffic Police authorities, has successfully implemented a ‘no parking’ policy using Twin Tempo vehicles, bringing much-needed relief to residents plagued by traffic woes.
Kiran Mankawade, a member of the Wagholi Welfare Foundation, expressed his gratitude to API Gajanan Jadhav for taking proactive measures to alleviate traffic congestion. “With Gajanan sir’s help, the traffic issue has been resolved to some extent, but there’s still a significant problem of vehicles taking the wrong direction,” he said, emphasizing the need for continued efforts to address this issue.
API Gajanan Jadhav explained that the Pune-Ahmednagar highway, a critical transportation artery for ambulances, school vans, and office-goers, falls under their jurisdiction. “We’ve tried to resolve traffic issues by clearing one lane and deploying towing vehicles, which has helped ease congestion to some extent. We’re committed to finding solutions for the people,” he assured.
This innovative initiative has brought a sense of hope to Wagholi residents, who are now witnessing a significant reduction in traffic congestion. The collaborative efforts of citizens, welfare organizations, and traffic authorities have paved the way for a smoother commute, and residents are eagerly awaiting further measures to address the remaining challenges.”
