Pune NGO Bus campaign to begin tomorrow; Demand booths at these 6 bus depots ( Representational Image )
A campaign called ‘AppKaraBusKara’ is going to be started from tomorrow (20th March 2024) by Pune-based NGO Parisar for which demands booths will be set up at 6 Bus Depots.
As per further information from Parisar “Punekars have waited for years for bus information to be easily accessible via the bus app! Lack of a bus app creates a gap, deterring public transport use. Come and make your demand heard! Share your comments and suggestions with us and we’ll get it across to the PMPML authorities.”
Parisar has shared the location of Demand Booths, under the ‘AppKaraBusKara’ campaign, at 6 Bus Depots:
· Starting tomorrow (20th March) from 10 am to 3 pm.
· Schedule:
1. Deccan: 20th & 21st March
2. PMC: 22nd & 23rd March
3. Swargate: 24th & 25th March
4. Kondhwa: 26th & 27th March
5. Kothrud: 28th & 29th March
6. Bibwewadi: 31th & 1st April
Parisar further appeals people to share their needs on the demand cards and they will get the message across to the PMPML authorities, amplifying all voices!
Under the #AppKaraBusKara campaign, Pune-based NGO Parisar will install interactive screens at five bus depots in the city. Commuters will be able to see on these screens how the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) app will make traveling easier –
A Parisar associate had said that they are not going to launch an entire app but they are planning to install screens at some Pune bus depots on which there will be a few destinations shown. People can click whichever destination they want to go & the results will show the buses they can take, how much time will it take, fares etc. When they have this experience, people will realize that we need to really step up the demand for bus app. After that, people can sign a demand card which will be addressed & submitted to the PMPML.
