Pune: NIBM Road Resident Alleges Raw Chicken Delivery From Big Daddy Outlet via Swiggy, Raises Food Safety Concerns

Pune, April 20, 2026: A resident of NIBM Road has raised serious concerns over food safety and customer service after allegedly receiving undercooked chicken in an online food order placed through Swiggy.

According to the complainant, the order included a chicken burger and two pieces of fried chicken from Big Daddy. Upon receiving the delivery, the resident claimed that the chicken served was raw on the inside, posing a potential health risk.

The resident stated that a complaint was immediately lodged with Swiggy. However, the response from the platform reportedly added to the dissatisfaction. An initial refund of ₹31, followed by ₹41, was processed without the customer’s approval, which the resident described as inadequate compensation for the issue.

Further escalation through customer care allegedly did not yield satisfactory results. The resident claimed that a customer service executive identified as Bobby declined to process a full refund or initiate action against the restaurant. A request to speak with a senior representative reportedly led to assurances of a callback, which, according to the complainant, has not yet been received.

Highlighting the seriousness of the issue, the resident emphasized that serving undercooked chicken could lead to significant health risks, including food poisoning. The complainant has called for accountability from both the food delivery platform and the restaurant, stressing the need for stricter quality checks and customer grievance redressal mechanisms.

The resident has also stated that supporting evidence, including videos, photographs, and billing details, has been documented and is available for verification.

As of now, there has been no official response from either Swiggy or the restaurant regarding the incident.
