Pune : Nine people injured in accident as steering wheel of PMPML bus breaks

Nine passengers, including college students, suffered minor injuries in the accident which occurred due to the breakage of the iron rod of the steering wheel of the PMPML bus. 

The accident took place on Monday morning in Sangvi Phata area on Rahu-Wagholi road.

As per information from Vishwajeet Kaingade, Senior Police Inspector, Lonikand Police Station, students and other citizens were travelling in a PMPML bus on the Pune station to Pargaon route. It was headed to Nhavi Sandas village. 

The iron steering rod of PMPML bus broke in Sangvi Phata area. So, the PMPML bus driver lost control and the bus fell into a ditch on the side of the road, injuring 9 passengers.

The Lonikand Police are further investigating the accident for further details.
