Motorists going to Kalyani Nagar from Koregaon Park can now turn left without stopping at the signal at Kalyani Chowk. So, the headache of stopping at the intersection after the signal while going to Kalyaninagar will be reduced. After the completion of the road work, inconvenience to the drivers will be avoided.

From the cemetery on Lane No 7 on the North Main Road at Koregaon Park to Kalyani Chowk, there is a large number of citizens going to Kalyaninagar. However, during the morning traffic, until the signal at Kalyani Chowk is released, motorists do not get a road to turn left from Kalyani Chowk towards Kalyaninagar. So, after three to four signals, citizens can turn left and go to Kalyaninagar.

Therefore, drivers spend 15 to 20 minutes in traffic jams. However, if vehicles going from Koregaon Park to Kalyaninagar are given a left turn facility to go to Kalyani Chowk, the traffic congestion will be reduced. Due to this, the amount of traffic congestion in the square is also likely to be reduced.

In this regard, the Road Department of the Municipal Corporation has accelerated the widening of the road on North Main Road No. 7 from the crematorium to Kalyani Chowk. While this work is being done, the road is being constructed to make it easier for motorists to take a left turn without stopping at the signal at Kalyani Chowk. This work will be completed soon. Commissioner Vikram Kumar informed that the problem of traffic jams in Kalyani Chowk will be solved to some extent.
