Pimpri-Chinchwad, June 16, 2025 – Elaborate security and administrative arrangements are in place for the annual Alandi and Dehu Palkhi procession  (Wari) scheduled on June 18–19, 2025, under the guidance of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj Sansthan. The Police Commissioner’s Office in Pimpri-Chinchwad has stated a press note outlining traffic management, police deployment, and crowd control measures to ensure a peaceful and safe event.

Key Details:

  • June 18: The Palkhi will remain at Alandi.
  • June 19: The procession will depart from Alandi to Pune.

Senior officials, including Police Commissioner Vinoy Chaubey have held review meetings with organizers and local authorities to finalize preparations.

Citizens have been requested to follow all traffic instructions and cooperate with law enforcement. 

The annual Alandi-Pandharpur Wari is a centuries-old spiritual tradition in Maharashtra, drawing lakhs of devotees who follow the Palkhi of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Mahara towards Pandharpur for Ashadhi Ekadashi.
