In a shocking road rage incident at Pashan Circle in Pune, a couple was violently attacked late at night, leaving the man critically injured and his wife badly hurt. The police have arrested three accused—Anil Londhe (49), Raj Londhe (19), and Vinayak Ghag (55)—in connection with the assault.

The attack happened around 11 PM when Amaldev PVK Raman and his wife Ketaki Bhujbal were returning home from dinner in Mukund Nagar. Near Pashan Circle, two men on an Activa scooter, allegedly drunk, started blocking their car. When Amaldev honked, one of the men got aggressive, hit the car window, and refused to move.

According to a viral Instagram post by Ketaki, the situation quickly escalated. The scooter rider blocked their car for about 20 meters before attacking Amaldev. Soon, four more men joined in. The group used sticks and stones to beat him, while two of them held him down. Ketaki was also attacked when she tried to help, getting kicked in the stomach and hit in the face.

The attackers also smashed the car’s windows and headlights. A large stone thrown into the car caused more injuries. “Amal was bleeding a lot. His nose was broken, and his ear was injured. I have a swollen abdomen, confirmed by sonography,” said Ketaki.

What made the situation worse, she added, was that no one helped them. Many bystanders just recorded videos of the attack instead of stepping in. The couple managed to escape and first went to her brother’s house before filing a complaint. Amaldev was later admitted to Sai Shree Hospital in Aundh, where he is in the ICU.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Himmat Jadhav said that a FIR has been registered under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Maharashtra Police Act.
