Pune: Pashan-Kothrud-Gokhalenagar tunnel feasibility report to be submitted soon to PMC

Pune : The survey work for the proposed Pashan-Kothrud-Gokhalenagar tunnel, connecting the Pashan and Kothrud areas, has been completed and the preparation of the feasibility report is nearing completion.

Pune district Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil reviewed this work recently. He had ordered the officials to speed up the work.

This ambitious project, if approved, will greatly improve connectivity for the residents of Pashan and Baner areas. These residents will be able to go directly to Kothrud and Senapati Bapat Road avoiding congestion and traffic jams at Savitribai Phule Pune University, Ganeshkhind Road.

Chandni Chowk, Ganeshkhind Road, Acharya Anandrishi Chowk, Nal stop and Ganeshkhind Road.  

The report will be submitted to the Pune Municipal Corporation for further review and consideration. The Pune Municipal Corporation and the state government are also considering other infrastructure projects to improve the city’s transportation network.

” The project is expected to cost Rs 486 crore, and the report will be received by the Municipal Corporation next month. And soon we will start work on it,” said Ravindra Binwade, Additional Municipal Commissioner, PMC.
