Pune: Pune based Jagruti Foundation receives recognition at national level Menstrual Hygiene Management conclave

India’s largest conclave on Menstrual Hygiene Management happened in New Delhi. It was organised by Gramalayaan NGO based at Tiruchirapalli in Tamil Nadu, an approved Key Resource Centre for the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India,New Delhi.

Jagruti Foundation received MHM Champion Award in this MHM Summit 3 organized by Gramalaya. Jagruti Foundation, Pune which is actively involved in Menstrual Hygiene Management of differently abled adolescent girls and reach upto 5 to 6000 in last 5 years along with their flagship Red Dot Campaign of spreading awarness of Sanitory Waste Management, got recognition on this platform.

“It is indeed a proud moment to be associated with Padmshree Damodaran, Preethi and all like minded people on such a large scale,” said Jagruti Foundation‘s Founder Swanandi Rath.

Manju Kshirsagar and Swanandi Rath represented and accepted the award on behalf of Foundation.

The summit was held at NDMC Convention Centre New Delhi on the 11 & 12 January 2023, attended by delegates and dignitaries from many parts of India.

The main motto of the event was to spread awareness on improving awareness on Menstrual Hygiene and the need for a policy for permitting Safer products for Menstrual health and a easily Bio degradable product to protect the environment.

The summit was attended by eminent dignitaries and His Excellency Freddy Svane, Ambassador of the Royal Danish Embassy, in India and Her Excellency Olga Gauci, Spouse of the High Commissioner of Malta.

The summit was sponsored by Dettol – Banega Swasth India. Gramalaya conducted the 1st MHM summit in Delhi during 2019 and during 2022 in Chennai.
