Pune: Pimple Gurav's 23 Year Old Chintaman Burse To Join Indian Army
Pimpri, March 20, 2025 – The youth of Pimpri-Chinchwad contributing to national service have brought pride to the city, said Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale Patil while honoring Chintaman Vishnu Burse, a resident of Pimple Gurav, for his selection as a Lieutenant in the Indian Army at the young age of 23.
The felicitation ceremony was attended by Public Relations Officer Prafulla Puranik, Chintaman’s parents Vishnu and Swati Burse, and Prashant Joshi from the electricity department.
Chintaman’s aspiration to join the Indian Army began in his eighth grade after seeing army recruitment posters. Despite facing setbacks, including three unsuccessful NDA written exams, he remained determined and finally secured his selection as a Lieutenant through the NCC quota.
He has completed rigorous three-month training at the Officer Training Academy in Chennai and will soon join the Indian Army in Gwalior as a Lieutenant.
The Role of Parents in a Child’s Success
Parents play a crucial role in shaping a child’s future. Chintaman’s father, Vishnu Burse, works as an accountant at M.M. Corporation in Pune, while his mother, Swati Burse, runs private coaching classes in Pimple Gurav. Despite career challenges, they consistently encouraged Chintaman to pursue his passion. Even after multiple failures, they stood by him, supporting his dream of serving the nation rather than pushing him towards conventional career paths like medicine or engineering.
“Face every failure with determination, never give up on your goal, and success will follow. Since childhood, I dreamed of becoming an officer in the Indian Army, and today, that dream has come true.”
– Chintaman Burse, Lieutenant
“Chintaman always wanted to join the army, and we supported him throughout. Despite multiple setbacks, he persevered and achieved his dream through hard work.”
– Swati Burse, Chintaman’s Mother
