The civic body took action against illegal constructions and encroachments in various areas of the city like F C Road, Dhankawadi, Ahmednagar Road, and Hadapsar.
Illegal constructions on the side and front margins of establishments were demolished. The collaboration between the anti-encroachment and building permission departments, as mentioned by Sunil Kadam, a senior official of Pune Municipal Corporation’s building permission department, highlights the city’s commitment to upholding regulations and maintaining urban orderliness.
The civic officials took action in the late evening to target illegal activities that often happen during that time. Targeting roadside vendors selling food, garments, and seasonal items shows they’re serious about maintaining order. Confiscating food carts, handcarts, and cylinders in the drive is a strong move to enforce the rules.
