Pune: PMC Cracks Down On Illegal Sheds And Road Encroachments Spread Across 9700 Square Feet In Undri
Pune, March 18, 2026:
The Pune Municipal Corporation carried out a demolition drive against unauthorized front margin tin sheds and road encroachments in Undri (Haveli taluka).
The action was undertaken by the Building Development Department, Zone-1, targeting nearly 9,700 square feet of illegal constructions.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of Superintending Engineer Praveen Shende and Executive Engineer Suresh Sakhale.
A team led by Deputy Engineer Sandeep Shinde, along with Junior Engineers Rutuja Chilkevar, Sagar Shinde, and Kiran Ahirrao, executed the drive with the help of 10 workers and a JCB machine. Adequate police security was deployed during the operation to prevent any untoward incidents.
Officials stated that strict action will continue against unauthorized constructions, including demolition and legal penalties against violators.
Citizens have been urged to obtain all necessary permissions before undertaking any construction activity and to refrain from illegal developments.
