Pune: PMC To Begin Rotational Water Cuts From May 5; Check Full List Of Affected Areas
PMC Appeals To Institutions, Hospitals, And Societies For Urgent Water Conservation Measures
Pune, 3 May 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced rotational water supply cuts in various parts of the city starting Monday, 5 May 2025, citing an ongoing water shortage. Areas under the Vadgaon water purification plant zone will be affected, with each locality experiencing a complete halt in supply for one day on a rotating basis.
On Monday, water will be cut in Balajinagar (including Shrihari Society, Gurudatta Society, Nivara Society, Saikrupa Society, Gulmohar Society, and around Pawar Hospital), Katraj (Utkarsh Society, Gujarvasti, Katraj Lake East, Choudhary Gothe), and Kondhwa Budruk (Sainagar, Gajanan Maharajnagar, Shantinagar Society, Mahananda Society, Shrikrishna Colony, Sawant Colony).
On Tuesday, areas affected include Old Dhayari and Suncity (Ujwal Terrace, Dalviwadi, Warangani Mala, Pare Company Road, Suncity, Manikbagh, Samarthanagar, Mahalaxmi Society, Madhukar Hospital area, Vitthalwadi, Vitthalnagar), Katraj (Rajas Society, Niranjan Society, Kamala City, State Bank Society, new post office area), and Kondhwa (Kamthe Patilnagar, Khadimachine Chowk, Sinhgad College vicinity, Haw Town Society, Kolte Patil Society – Ward 37).
On Wednesday, water cuts will affect Vadgaon Budruk, Vadgaon Highway, Peru Baug, Dhabadi, Jadhav Nagar, Vadgaon Gaothan, Khurad Vasti, Sudatta Sankul, Samarthanagar, societies behind Santosh Hall in Anandnagar, Hingne, Mahadev Nagar, Anand Vihar, and Rajiv Gandhi Vasahat. Additionally, Katraj’s Waghjai Nagar, Bhande Ali, Sukhada Varda Society, Samrat Tower, and the area behind Ambamata Mandir will also face disruptions.
PMC has urged residents to store sufficient water in advance and use it judiciously during the affected periods.
