Pune : PMPML Commences Tourist Bus Service to Khadakwasla, Panshet and Varasgaon Dam
Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has introduced a unique tourist bus service, Number 4 taking Pune citizens and tourists on a visit to the popular dams located in the Pune city.
The inauguration of Tourist Bus Service No. 4 took place on May 21 in the presence of Satish Gavhane, Chief Transport Manager (Operation) of PMPML, and Chandrakant Varpe, Traffic Planning and Traffic Officer, along with the manager of Pune Station Depot, Sanjay Kusalkar. The air-conditioned electric bus was flagged off from Pune Station Bus Station.
PMPML in the last few months has introduced various new routes to attract more passengers and also make tourists places citizen friendly and accessible. PMPML has introduced new routes on seven routes in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad cities. The special “tourist bus” service operates on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays every week, starting from May 1, 2023, with a ticket price of Rs 500 per passenger.
Tourist Bus Service No. 4 is specifically designed for tourists interested in visiting Khadakwasla Dam, Panshet Dam, and Varasgaon Dam. Bookings for this tourist bus service can be made at PMPML bus stands located at Deccan, Pune Station, Swargate, Katraj, Hadapsar Gadital, Bhosari, Nigdi, and Pune Municipal Corporation (Headquarters) Ma Na Pa Bhavan.
