Pune : PMPML To Construct 300 Bus Shelters in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad
PMPML collects over 3 Lakh fine from ticketless passengers

Pune: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) will construct 300 new bus shelters for all the bus stands which do not have bus shelters in Pune & Pimpri Chinchwad.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Satish Gate, PRO Official, PMPML said, “We have planned to construct 300 new bus shelters for Pune & Pimpri Chinchwad bus stands which do not have bus shelters in 1 year.”
As per information from Satish Gate, these bus shelters will be set up on a BOT (Build, Operate, Transfer) basis and for this, the tender process has been floated. Currently, there are 1,130 bus shelters for all types of bus stands in Pune & Pimpri Chinchwad.
The bus shelters on the routes where the metro work is going on as well as the various development works in the city are currently in a dilapidated condition. There are bus shelters on Pune University Road from Balewadi to Shimla Office etc.
Meanwhile, 300 new bus shelters will be available to passengers in the coming year. In this, the work of the tender process for setting up bus shelters on a BOT basis in places where there are no bus shelters has been completed.
