The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) is planning to review the feeder service from Ramwadi metro station to Pune Airport, which was initiated to enhance last-mile connectivity for passengers, because of modest response. Despite starting with 10 trips per day, the service has seen modest usage, with around 200 daily passengers, falling short of the target of 400. PMPML plans to reassess its viability if numbers don’t improve in two months.

The bus routes from Ramwadi metro station to Pune Airport cover various stops, offering convenient access to places like Hyatt Hotel, Symbiosis College, Viman Nagar, and Lohegaon Airport.

Tickets are priced between ₹5 and ₹10, depending on the distance, with a travel time of approximately 25 minutes. Similarly, another route from Ramwadi metro station to Lohegaon Airport (via Sanjay Park Lane no. 6) is also operational.

Meanwhile, the new Pune Metro route from Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi has witnessed significant traction, with over 60,000 passengers since its inauguration on March 6.

Although the Yerawada station is yet to open due to ongoing entry-exit point work, the route connects key areas like Bund Garden, Kalyani Nagar, and Ramwadi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the metro route virtually from Kolkata on March 6 after a delay in the initial schedule due to his busy itinerary. Additionally, he marked the ceremony for the extended metro line from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to Nigdi via video conferencing.

With these developments, Pune’s transportation is evolving, offering residents and visitors more options for seamless travel across the city.
