Pune : PMRDA grants open space to PCMC to organize various programmes

Pune : The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has given the open space which was under their possession to the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation for public use as per demand on August 18, 2023.
As per information, Bhakti Shakti Shiv Jayanti Utsav Samiti, Pimpri Chinchwad City, and various other organizations organized a meeting to seek land in the commercial plot at Bhakti Shakti Chowk, Nigdi to celebrate Shiv Jayanti, Annabhau Sathe Jayanti, various festivals, and village fairs of Nigdi villagers. They made a concerned demand regarding land to Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA).
In response to this, considering the demand of the people’s representatives of the area and various organizations, open space in the possession of Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority adjacent to Nigdi village no. 9 Nigdi, Survey No. 83, an area equal to one acre (40 R) of 83 has been given to PCMC for public use as per demand on August 18, 2023.
The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has directed the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to use the land for Shiv Jayanti, Annabhau Sathe Jayanti, various Jayanti festivals, and village fairs for Nigdi villagers. The PMRDA has approved this site which has relieved the demand for the land by various organizations.
