Backed by its exceptional public services and infrastructure, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has secured third place in Maharashtra under the Chief Minister’s 100-Day Action Plan. The recognition comes after a final evaluation conducted by the Quality Council of India (QCI), where PMRDA scored 76.02 out of 100 points.

On May 16, the state government officially acknowledged PMRDA’s swift and citizen-centric approach in delivering essential services and efficient administration. The authority impressed with its innovative administration, public-friendly governance, and integration of modern technology, leaving a notable impact statewide in a short span.

This second phase of the CM’s 100-day initiative included 95 organizations such as corporations, authorities, and semi-government institutions. During the evaluation conducted on May 14, 2025, by the central QCI team based on ten key parameters, PMRDA emerged among the top performers.

The final results, announced by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, placed the Slum Rehabilitation Authority first with 82.16 points, followed by Maharashtra State Power Generation Co. Ltd. with 77.19 points. PMRDA stood third, while Maharashtra Energy Development Agency and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation ranked fourth and fifth respectively.

Evaluation Criteria:

The QCI team assessed the organizations based on ten important parameters, including website quality, citizen engagement, cleanliness, grievance redressal, office facilities, process improvements, staff training, service-related matters, judicial matters, AI technology usage, financial and industrial investment promotion, ease of living, and office management reforms.

Key Initiatives That Led to Recognition:

User-friendly and informative website, simplification of RTS services

Clean and well-equipped offices with fixed timings for official meetings

Office amenities such as clean drinking water and restrooms for visitors

Online BPMS system for building permissions

Integration of AI with development planning, layout suggestions, objections, and drone surveys

Proposed infrastructure projects worth ₹31,000 crore to boost industrial investments

The only authority with pollution control plans from river origin to confluence

The only body in Maharashtra with a dedicated disaster response team (PDRF)

Geoportal platform integrating services like development planning, land survey, construction permissions, encroachment removal, and land records

Use of advanced Digital Twin technology for process improvement across departments

“This is a major achievement for PMRDA, earned through efficient administration and citizen-focused service delivery. The hard work of our officers and staff, along with the support of public representatives and citizens, has brought us this recognition in such a short time since PMRDA’s formation.
