Pune Police arrests two people for creating terror
Pune, July 12 : The city Crime Branch has arrested two men for allegedly creating terror in the city by posting pictures of dangerous weapons on social media.
Both the accused were not only posting pictures of dangerous weapons on social media but also were preparing to create terror in public places by carrying weapons in Birajdar Nagar and Manhamdawadi Road in Hadapsar area, police said on Tuesday.
After being informed about this, a team of Crime Branch Unit-5 laid a trap and arrested the duo when they arrived at certain points recently. They have been identified as Arshad Sharif Patel and Umar Salim Shaikh. The police have registered a case against them under the Arms Act, sources added.
