As the Lok Sabha elections in Pune draw nearer, the atmosphere intensifies with preparations to ensure a smooth and peaceful voting process. In light of this, Pune Police has stepped up its efforts to maintain law and order, particularly by cracking down on criminals in the city.

Under the directive of Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, a proactive approach has been taken to tackle potential disruptions during the electoral process. Recently, over a thousand individuals with criminal records were summoned to police stations across Pune for identification parades and stern warnings.

The initiative aims to deter any untoward incidents that could jeopardize the electoral proceedings slated for the 13th of this month. With the responsibility of safeguarding the electoral process resting on their shoulders, the police have left no stone unturned in their preparations.
A comprehensive strategy has been devised, including the deployment of additional check counters at strategic locations throughout the city.


With 109 police chowky falling under the Pune Commissionerate, the concerted effort to reign in criminal elements reflects a commitment to upholding the democratic process and ensuring the safety of citizens.
