PUNE POLICE TO ADDRESS YOUR GRIEVANCES VIRTUALLY NOW

Covid19 has brought many changes in our working styles. Social distancing, making optimum use of technology has pressed us all into working mainly online. Pune Police has also not remained out of this.

To fight against all the problems, Pune Police commissioner, K Venkatesham has devised a new way of registering complaints online on the Pune police portal. 

Since Police stations are the first place where citizens come forward for their grievance redressal, Pune City Police has introduced a new way, Video Call based Virtual appointments system for citizens to lodge complaints and speak to the concerned officers. “This system shall help citizens to schedule an appointment and meet police officials online without physically visiting the office. This is an initiative taken to enable people to meet senior officials who are unable to meet during the lockdown, ” Said Ravindra Shisve, joint commissioner, Pune police. Five police stations Kondhwa, Kothrud, Deccan, Lashkar, Chatuhshringi have been identified on a pilot basis to check on the functioning of the system. Citizens can select the concerned police station online and check for the available time slot of the concerned police officer.

HOW CAN YOU SEEK YOUR APPOINTMENT ?

Click on www.punepolice.gov.in under Quick Link section on V appointment on the home page. It takes you to online appointment section where one gets an OTP. Add your After police station name, your address and contact details and select time slot for appointment. Deputy Commissioner of Police Bacchan Singh (Crime) and Kapil Bhalerao (computer cell) are appointment to carry forward the working of this virtual system. 

FEATURES

This is an excellent way to save travel time and energy. It can be used on 4G network and broadband internet service and on normal Google chrome browser on smartphones and laptop too. Citizens need to choose the concerned officer, where they need to mention about the reason of appointment, upload documents, in case if any. They shall be given 4 digit token number on their email which is used to join the official at a pre fixed time through a video call. The citizens are given a five minute window to speak. This system is enabled from June 5.
