Pune Police’s Kale Padal Station Bust Major Illicit Liquor Operation In Santosh Nagar
The recently established Kale Padal Police Station in Pune conducted a decisive raid on Friday, seizing a significant amount of illicitly brewed liquor. The action, led by Senior Police Inspector Manasingh Patil, was part of the strict measures taken to ensure law and order during the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly Election Code of Conduct, per orders from Pune City Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar.
While patrolling in the Santosh Nagar area, officers received a tip-off regarding an illegal local liquor operation on Mohammadwadi Road. Sachin and Manesh Kacharavat were allegedly preparing and storing illegal liquor behind their residence. Acting swiftly, Inspector Patil’s team raided the location, detaining both individuals.
From the scene, police confiscated 87 cans of liquor and a Swift car, bringing the total value of the seized items to ₹8.72 lakh.
The raid was supported by a coordinated team including Assistant Police Inspectors Amit Shete, Sanjay Gaikwad, and Prashant Latpate, along with a squad of constables and other officers. Under the guidance of Senior Police Officials and Assistant Commissioner of Police Dhanyakumar Godse, the Kale Padal team Police Sub-Inspectors Sanjay Gaikwad and Prashant Latpate, along with Police Head Constables Sanjay Desai, Daud Sayyed, Parshuram Pise, and Amol Katkar, Female Police Naik Snehal Jadhav, Constables Mahadev Shinde, Atul Pandharkar, Saddam Tamboli, Ganesh Mane, and Shrikrishna Khokale, have achieved commendable work as part of the team demonstrated effective law enforcement, successfully shutting down this illegal activity.
