Nationalist Congress Party president Sharad Pawar has announced that he will resign from the post of party president in a programme held in Mumbai.
He announced his retirement at the book release ceremony of ‘Lok Maja Sangati’ at the Chavan Centre.
After Pawar’s announcement, NCP workers have opposed this decision.

Activists, office bearers, leaders of NCP across the state are trying to get Sharad Pawar to withdraw his decision. Officials in Pune have also opposed Sharad Pawar’s decision.

NCP Pune City President Prashant Jagtap tweeted the information. Jagtap tweeted, “No matter how much one wants to, at least for the faith of the devotees, God cannot give up his divinity, similarly Pawar Saheb should not give up the post of President. If Saheb does not change his stance, all members of the Pune City Executive committee together with me are resigning.”

Other leaders of NCP in Pune have also opposed Sharad Pawar’s retirement. In a program held in Mumbai this morning, Sharad Pawar said, henceforth I will be in politics for three years only. We will form a new committee for the next president of NCP.

Sharad Pawar also said that the decision of the new committee chairman will be taken soon. At this time, the workers in the hall expressed their displeasure and demanded to withdraw the resignation of the president. While talking about this, Sharad Pawar brought up the old memories.

Even in Baramati, including the NCP Bhavan, a picture of peace spread throughout the city. At this time, most of the office bearers showed their inability to react about this as they did not recover from the shock.
