For the last several years, residents of Bramha Avenue, Shivneri Nagar have been living in fear and risk of accidents due to the steep height of the gradient.

Several near fatal accidents have taken place on the road as heavy vehicles like buses, tempos often drive carelessly on the road. Today, on January 13, an accident took place where the autorickshaw was badly damaged in the accident and the passengers were saved miraculously.

Social activist and president, Aai Pratishthan, Prasad Babar told Pune Pulse that the gradient is too steep and many accidents have taken place on the road. Today, we have written to the Pune Municipal Corporation and demanded to reduce the gradient to curb future accidents.

Heavy vehicles must also not be allowed on the road to drive as there are three big schools around, where more than 2000 children study. PMC and Pune Traffic Police must take joint action in reducing accidents, Babar added.
