Pune : Rooftop Solar Power Plant Installed in Nandan Prospera Gold In Baner  

Solar Power Generation Plant was inaugurated in Nandan Prospera Gold Society in Baner on 25^th February by Ex Corporator Amol Balwadkar. On the occasion of this inauguration, Amol Balwadkar met and interacted with the citizens of the society.

As per further information from the social media handle of Amol Balwadkar, Due to this solar power plant, the monthly electricity bill of the society will save about 2 lakh rupees and in this way, Nandan Prospera Gold is the 3rd society in Baner-Balewadi area to set up a solar power plant. Although the society has incurred a cost of 70 lakh rupees for tthe installation of the said project, the investment could be recovered in 3 years. All the electric devices like elevator, common lights, water pump under the society will run on 100% solar project.

The government is also getting 20% ​​subsidy for setting up the said project and under this, more than 3200 societies have set up such solar energy plants in the state. Also, about 52 megawatts of electricity is being generated from all these solar projects for the societies. Of course, such projects will benefit the environment and the locality, but each flat holder in the society that constructs such projects also gets a 5% discount in tax from the municipal corporation. Due to this, the financial calculations of such large societies will definitely be smoothed out due to saving of large amount of electricity costs.

In Nandan Prospera Gold Society, along with this solar power generation plant, rain water harvesting project and waste garbage management projects are also being implemented.
