Pune : Roseland Residency residents secure third place in National Dance Competition

Pimple Saudagar: Residents of Roseland Residency society from Pimple Saudagar in Bharatnatyam performances won the this place in two categories at a national competition held on World Dance Day at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium in Pune. 

The Sub-Junior Group, comprising girls aged between 8 and 12 years, and Junior Group, comprising girls aged between 12 and 16 years, have both secured the third prize.

The event saw the performances of many talented dancers from across the country, and the selection of Roseland’s girls’ performances for the final round was a feat in itself. The final round was held on April 29, 2023, where the little champs’ graceful moves and synchronized steps stole the show.

Foram Buch, who is the guru of the students, said that most of the students had been in class for a long time and had worked hard to prepare for the competition. All the girls who had participated in the competition are students of Nartan Academy, led by Mrs. Buch, who had trained them hard for the competition.

Apart from the group performances, Aarya Bhatt and Ishanvi Varanasi had also participated in the Solo Category. Aarya Bhatt participated in the Junior Category, while Ishanvi Varanasi participated in the Sub Junior Category.

The Sub-Junior Group, which won the 3rd prize, included Aaheli Mondal, Drishti Kashyap, Bhavashree Venkatesan, Tanisha Yadav, Vanshika Munjani, Drisha Songire, Aaruhi Khobragade, and Durva Karandikar. The Junior Group, which also secured the 3rd prize, had Vrunda Joshi, Arya Bhatt, Namrata Patil, Ishita Sharma, Aashna Jain, Shreya Sebastian, Siddhi Khara, and Vidhita Hoilgol.
