Pune RTO Officials Conduct Road Safety Drive At Khed-Shivapur Toll Plaza; 151 Vehicles Penalised
Pune, November 22, 2025: Senior officials from the Regional Transport Office (RTO) Pune conducted a comprehensive road safety inspection at the Khed-Shivapur IRB toll office on Friday to curb rising accident risks along the busy highway stretch.
The visit was led by Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Archana Gaikwad, along with Deputy RTO Swapnil Bhosale and Assistant RTO Yuvraj Patil. During the inspection, the officials reviewed ongoing safety practices and suggested corrective measures to enhance accident prevention.

As part of the drive, the Road Safety Team inspected 250 vehicles, taking strict action against violations. A total of 151 vehicles were penalised for offences including driving without insurance, using mobile phones while driving, expired permits, missing reflectors, riding without helmets, wrong parking, lane cutting, and driving in the wrong lane.
Additionally, 120 vehicle owners were counselled on essential road safety practices and the importance of following traffic rules.

Road Safety Team members Krushnat Bamnikar, Atul Darade, and Vasant Kalambarkar were present during the operation.
The RTO has reiterated that regular enforcement drives will continue to ensure safer roads for all commuters.
