Pune: Saswad To Host Legal Aid And Government Welfare Camp On March 16
A mega legal aid camp and government scheme fair will be held at Waghire Arts, Commerce, and Science College in Saswad, Pune district, on March 16. The event aims to provide legal assistance and benefits under various government schemes to eligible citizens. Supreme Court Judge Abhay S. Oka will inaugurate the program at 10:30 AM.
Organized under the directives of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority, the event is set to benefit more than 10,940 individuals from Baramati, Indapur, Daund, Bhor, and Saswad talukas.
The camp will be conducted under the guidance of Bombay High Court Justices Revati Mohite-Dere, Sandeep Marne, and Arif Doctor. Mahendra Mahajan, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Pune, and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), will preside over the event.
The initiative aims to ensure access to justice for all, providing legal aid to those in need and assisting beneficiaries in availing various government welfare schemes.
The camp will facilitate awareness and legal support, strengthening the justice delivery system and social welfare initiatives in the region.
