Pune set to host exhibition of Origami Art

Pune, November 20 : Indutai Tilak Kala Kendra and Origami Mitra are organizing ‘Wonderfold 2023’, an exhibition of Origami Art from November 23 to 26 at Tilak Smarak Mandir on Tilak Road. 

The timing of the exhibition is 10am to 8pm on all days. This is the 17th edition of this exhibition which is held biennially. However, the upcoming edition is being organized after a gap of 4 years due to the pandemic informed Milind Kelkar, member of the organizing committee and an Origami artist.  
Origami is a Japanese art that involves creating miniature models of various things only with the use of paper folds. Close to 400 art pieces of Origami created by about 35 to 40 Origami Artists would be on display in this exhibition including beautiful lampshades, models of human figures, plants, flowers, furniture, special shapes and designs. 

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Architect Narendra Dengle and Sculptor Satish Ghatpande on November 23rd at 10:30am.
