Pune : Shiva Temple To Come Up On NIBM road near Anandvan Forest, work to begin soon

Pune: On September 4, the Pune city Shiv Sena Party announced that a temple of Lord Shiva will be constructed on the private land on NIBM-Cloud 9 road. It will also make for easy entrance access to Anandvan which is Pune’s First Urban Forest. This will also ease the road work to an extent, providing relief to the commuters. For the past many months one side of the road is lying incomplete posing potential threat to pedestrians and motorists.
Also, the incomplete road work was becoming a hindrance to regular visitors of the Anandvan Forest area. Speaking to Pune Pulse, Pramod aka Nana Bhangire, Shiv Sena Pune President and former Corporator of NIBM road – Mohammadwadi said, “We had a comprehensive meeting regarding the creation of a Lord Shiva Temple as well as the creation of a designated entranceway to the Anandvan Urban Forest Area. The meeting was held at 12 pm in the NIBM area on Monday.”
Bhupesh Sharma, from the Anandvan Foundation, said, “Pramod aka Nana Bhangire, Shiv Sena Pune District Chief and Subodh Shah, a builder, announced the commencement of Lord Shiva temple on private land opposite the Arc Society on NIBM – Cloud Nine road. For several months, the main entrance near Cloud Nine Society has been blocked due to ongoing PMC road work. Hence, along with the construction of Lord Shiva Temple here, a hassle-free entranceway will be created for Anandvan Forest area after which the nearby residents & other people will get easy access to Pune’s First Urban Forest Anandvan. An elongated slope structure will be done.”
Bhangire further informed that the foundation stone has been laid for the construction of Lord Shiva Temple and work will commence soon.
