Govinda Cultural and Social Foundation is a set up to create history in Pune with the grand presentation of ‘Shri Balaji Mahanatya -Itihas, Leela and Samarpan .’ This groundbreaking event marks the first-ever Mahanatya in Hindi in Pune, showcasing the captivating history of Shri Balaji.

Scheduled to take place at Chordia Corner, Shanti Nagar, Kondhwa, from February 8 to 11, daily same show 5 PM onwards, this Hindi Mahanatya promises a mesmerising experience. The grand stage spanning 140ft wide and 70ft in height stands, the biggest stage ever in the history of theatrical performances. 

It will showcase a huge number of 250+ talented characters, 70+ well synchronised dancers and 12 soul stirring songs promising a unique and immersive experience to the audience. In addition, there is a waterfall on stage, artistic fireworks all this coupled with the state of the art technology.

The inauguration ceremony on February 8 at 5pm will be graced by the esteemed presences of Sri Tridandi Srimannaryan Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyer Swamiji. Notable figures such as Director of ISKCON’s Govardhan Eco Village Gaurang Das, internationally famous HH Indradyumna Swami Maharaj, MLA Shrikant Bharti, Maharashtra State higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil will be present as chief guests adding to the significance of the event.

The mission of the event is that even after being a household name, very few of them know about his history and pastimes. This drama aims to bring forth the rich history and his beautiful pastimes in the most entertaining and enlightening way. The trust believes in making a meaningful impact in the society. The proceeds from this play will support temple construction in Pandharpur and other social initiatives.
