Pune, November 1, 2025: A massive traffic jam on Sinhagad Road in Pune on Friday left an ambulance stranded for several minutes, sparking outrage and concern among residents. The vehicle, carrying a patient in need of medical attention, was unable to move due to the gridlock, leaving the patient’s family distressed and helpless.

Bystanders watched the situation unfold but were powerless to help as vehicles remained jammed in all directions. The incident has once again highlighted Pune’s worsening traffic congestion, which often disrupts emergency services and raises fears that such delays could cost lives.

Adding to the city’s growing traffic woes, the area around Pune Airport has also become a daily bottleneck for commuters. The lack of functional traffic signals and insufficient police personnel at key intersections have led to complete chaos, particularly during rush hours.

From Air Force Station Chowk to 509 Chowk, long queues of vehicles stretch across the route every morning and evening. The resulting delays have caused frustration among passengers heading to the airport and inconvenience for residents living nearby.

Locals have also complained about deteriorating road conditions and frequent waterlogging near these congested junctions, which further exacerbate the situation. Many are now urging authorities to take immediate steps to improve traffic management and ensure that emergency vehicles can move freely in critical situations.
