On February 19, Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the first phase of Shivsrushti, comprising Sarkarwada.

“The work on the second phase has started and it will be inaugurated till June 6, 2024,” said Jagdish Kadam. “We want maximum people to visit Shivsrushti and know about the glorious history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Hence, we are offering special discounts for the school students and their parents during the summer holidays,” Kadam said.

Sharing more details about the special discount, Jagdish Kadam said, “School students will have to pay Rs 80 instead of the regular entry fee of Rs 120 while their parents will be charged Rs 250 instead of Rs 350.  For Group booking of 10 persons, there is a special discount, and each person will be charged Rs 200.”

Kadam said there has been tremendous response from the people in the past two months after the first phase was inaugurated. “Some thousands of people have visited the Shivsrushti after the inauguration of the first phase,” he said.

Kadam informed that books on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj are available for sale at Shivsrushti along with ‘Shivmudra’ and idols of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

According to Kadam, the Maharaja Shivchhatrapati Pratishthan intends to host the foreign delegates at Shivsrushti when they will be in the city for the G20 meeting in June.

Visitors would be able to see exhibition galleries including ‘Durg Vaibhav’, ‘Ranangan’, a 20-minute audio-visual program on ‘Escape from Agra’ using 3D technology, and a 13-minute inspirational speech of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj using MAD-mapping. Apart from this, visitors can enjoy ‘Raigadachi Safar’, which will give them an aerial view of the fort.

Kuber informed that students can enjoy horse-riding clad in dress of ‘Mavla’ (foot-soldier) by paying Rs 50 and added that a group of prisoners from the Yerawada jail, serving life-imprisonment visited the Shivsrushti.

Kadam said the coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is completing 350 years next year and the Maharaja Shivchhtrapati Prathishthan will support the year-long programs, which will be held to mark the occasion, starting this June.

Kadam signed off by saying that the Prathishthan will also support the initiatives taken by the Maharashtra government in the near future, which aim to reach the history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to the masses.
