Pune: Special safety audit team conducts inspection at Railway Station

Pune: A two-day special safety audit and inspection was carried out at the Pune Railway Division by Sitaram Sinku, Principal Chief Safety Officer of the North Frontier Railway Zone, on June 23rd and 24.

Accompanied by Indu Dubey, Divisional Railway Manager and a team of senior officers from the Northern Frontier Railway, including Ram Gopal, Chief Track Engineer, K K Srivastava, Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer (P&D), K N S Yadav, Chief Mechanical Engineer and A V Sinku conducted a comprehensive inspection of various areas within the Pune Railway Division.

The inspection covered Pune Station, yard, coaching maintenance depot, Pune RRI, as well as the station premises, yard, and running room in Satara. During the inspection, the officials attentively listened to the concerns and queries of staff members including loco pilots, station managers, train managers (guards), signal maintainers, and track maintainers, addressing their questions related to train operations.

Following the inspection, a meeting was held at the Divisional Office. During the meeting, detailed discussions took place regarding the essential safety regulations for railway operations. The officials expressed satisfaction with the department’s work in this regard and provided necessary instructions for further improvements.
