The State Common Entrance Examination Cell (CET Cell) is set to conduct entrance exams for Bachelor of Management (BBA, BMS) and Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) courses from May 27 to 29.
The registration period for this exam has closed, with no further extensions. This year, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has taken charge of these courses, making accreditation mandatory and granting them professional status. Previously, admission to these courses relied solely on 12th-grade marks and was managed at the college level.

However, with AICTE’s involvement, the process will now be centralized, overseen by the CET Cell. The decision to centralize the admission process aims to streamline procedures and ensure uniform standards across institutions offering these courses. Despite initial deadlines, the registration period was extended first until April 30th and then until May 5th to accommodate student demand. According to Mahendra Varbhuvan, the Commissioner of CET Cell, a staggering 56,790 students have registered for the entrance examination for BBA, BMS, and BCA courses.

With registration now closed and no further extensions, students have completed the first step towards securing admission to these sought-after courses. The upcoming entrance exams will play a crucial role in determining admission to prestigious institutions.
