Pune: Swift Response by PMC Official Earns Praise from Kalyani Nagar Residents
Pune Municipal Corporation Kalyani Nagar Ward Office Junior Engineer, Devendra Rajput, has shown swiftness in doing civil works such as footpath construction, footpath repairs, drainage repairs etc. Thus, Kalyani Nagar residents have greatly appreciated his work.
In an exclusive interview with Pune Pulse, Devendra Rajput, Junior Engineer, Road department, Pune Municipal Corporation, said “I was appointed to the PMC this year & to the Kalyani Nagar Ward office in April 2023. The ward office has been receiving several complaints about various issues such as footpath, drainage related & other issues. Hence, taking cognizance of all these, we started fixing everything starting from the footpath near D Mart which was in a very poor condition. We have fixed drainage issues as various drainages in the area had uneven storm water lines. Also, the covers of various drainages were either broken or not there at all. So, we have made storm water lines of even levels, put covers on drainages, reduced water logging etc. Also, road widening work is going on at full speed near Bishops School & it will be completed soon.”
