Pune: Thieves Attempt To Run Over Police in Katraj, Police Open Fire In Self Defense

It’s quite a dramatic scene with the police having to open fire on a group of thieves who tried to run them over with a car. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the altercation near the Wonder City area of Katraj.
That was a swift action by Police Sub-Inspector Ratikant Koli and his team at Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station. It’s great that they were able to spot the thieves in the act while patrolling the Katraj Dehu Road Bypass. The fact that they managed to prevent any injuries during the confrontation with the thieves is commendable. It’s reassuring to know that a case has been filed against the unidentified individuals involved in the attempted theft.
There were no reports of injury to anyone in the incident.
