Four individuals, including Tik Tok Maulana, accused of duping investors with false promises of monthly returns.

A Rs 1.16-crore cheating case has been registered involving Tik Tok Maulana alias Abdul Rashid alias Miftahi Qalandar Khan and three others. They promised investors 2% to 3% monthly returns on investments in Saad Motors, Mitha Nagar, Kondhwa.

Nissar Abdul Shaikh (55), from Hadapsar, lodged the complaint at Kondhwa Police Station. The accused include Rafiq Qalandar Khan (44), Sanobar alias Sauda Rafiq Khan (40), Isa Rafiq Khan (23), and Tik Tok Maulana alias Abdul Rashid alias Miftahi Qalandar Khan (48), all residents of Kondhwa Khurd. The fraudulent activities have been ongoing since 2020.

According to the police, Saad Motors lured the complainant and other investors, including Aniket Gaikwad, Hamid Babulal Shaikh, Julekha Samir Shaikh, Aziz Rajubhai Mulani, Sandip Badhe, Jahangir Pathan, Vishal Chavan, and Samir Razzak Shaikh, to invest a total of Rs 1,16,93,500 with the promise of monthly returns. However, the accused neither paid the promised interest nor returned the principal amount over the past four years.

The investors finally approached the police, leading to the registration of a case under the MPID Act.
