Pune To Host Three Day Empress Garden Flower Show 2025 From January 24
Pune is all set to host the highly anticipated Empress Garden Flower Show from January 24 to 27, 2025. Organized by the Agri-Horticulture Society of Western India since 1890, the annual event will open its doors to the public from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
The flower show will see participation from nursery owners not only from Pune but also from cities like Kolhapur, Sangli, Nashik, and Andhra Pradesh, as well as other regions across the country. The event promises to showcase a stunning array of flowers and plants, attracting horticulture enthusiasts and visitors from all walks of life.
Suhas Diwase, former Pune collector will inaugurate the show on January 24 at 12 noon.
Empress Garden, located in Kavade Mala, Ghorpadi, spans over 39 acres and is renowned for its rich biodiversity. Originally known as Soldiers’ Gardens during British India, the garden was a retreat for off-duty soldiers and was later renamed in honor of Queen Victoria. Today, the garden boasts an impressive collection of 180-200 tree varieties, offering a lush green haven for nature lovers.
A dedicated 5-acre nursery within the garden cultivates a variety of saplings, many of which are sold to the public at reasonable prices. The Empress Garden Flower Show will not only celebrate the beauty of flowers but also provide an opportunity for attendees to purchase plants and trees for their own homes and gardens.
