Pune Traffic Police Announces diversion on Sinhgad Road. Check Details.

Pune: The traffic department has implemented new measures to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow on the Sinhagad Road. As per the information provided by the Pune Traffic Police, traffic heading from Swargate to Vadgaon Bridge (Veer Baji Pasalkar route), the route now involves making a left turn at Ganesh Mala Signal via Sinhagad Road and proceeding on Janata Colony Canal Road at Misal Park (Canal Junction) and on the right side of the canal, Anand Vihar Road has been designated for traffic flow towards Tukai Nagar Chowk. 

From Swargate, vehicles should make a left turn at Sinhagad Road Regional Office and pass through London Bridge Square towards Misal Garden. One-way traffic is now enforced from the Misal Park (Canal Junction) to Vishranti Nagar Chowk by making a left turn. 

Vehicles coming from Misal Park (Canal Junction) are prohibited from going on the left side of the canal. Hingne to Mahadev Nagar is off-limits to four-wheelers, as they are not allowed to use the London Bridge connecting the two canal roads. Only two-wheelers will be permitted for entry. 

On the canal road, heavy traffic is prohibited from Janata Colony to Sinhagad Road Regional Office, specifically in the area near Fun Time Theatre. From Goyal Ganga Chowk to Sinhagad Road Regional Office, there is a no-parking zone along the Veer Shiva Kashid, also known as Manik Bagh DP Road, extending to ICICI Bank. On both sides of the road, starting from the bank until the divider ends, parking is strictly prohibited. 

Parking arrangements have been made on the left side of the road from Goyalganga Chowk to ICICI Bank Amritganga Society Gate No. 4 Shorba Hotel. Additionally, for four-wheelers only, parking facilities are available on the right side of the road from the proposed theatre to the Atithi Hotel, after the divider ends. For two-wheelers, parking arrangements are provided on the right side of the road from HDFC Bank to Soba Optima Society Gate, near a tea shop. 

Moreover, there is no parking permitted on both sides of the road from Sinhagad Road Regional Office Chowk to Veer Shiva Kashi Chowk, extending until the divider ends. 

If citizens have any suggestions or objections regarding the traffic changes, they are requested to submit them in writing to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic Control Branch, Yerwada Post Office, Bungalow No. 6, Jail Road, Pune by August 20. 

Vijay Kumar Magar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) has stated that final orders regarding traffic changes, except for vehicles involved in essential services, will be issued after considering the suggestions and objections received from the public. 

Considering the suggestions and objections of citizens, a final order has been issued to establish a no-parking zone on both sides of the road from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Memorial Chowk to the entrance of Vishnupuram Society on Vadgaon to Paunjai Mata Mandir Road.
