Pune Traffic Police Honours Five People For Reporting Maximum Traffic Violations On PTP AppĀ

The Pune City Traffic Police organised an award distribution ceremony at the Pune Police Commissionerate to honour citizens who recorded the highest number of traffic violation reports through theĀ PTP (Pune Traffic Police) AppĀ during January 2026.

The PTP App was launched in January 2026 by the Pune City Traffic Police to enable citizens to report traffic rule violations by motorists directly to the authorities. The initiative, jointly implemented by PPCR and the Pune City Traffic Branch, aims to strengthen citizen participation in improving road discipline and traffic management in the city.

Under this scheme, prizes were announced for the top five participants who registered the maximum verified complaints:

  • First Prize: ā‚¹50,000 + Certificate
  • Second Prize: ā‚¹25,000
  • Third Prize: ā‚¹15,000
  • Fourth Prize: ā‚¹10,000
  • Fifth Prize: ā‚¹5,000

The winners for January were announced in February and were formally honoured on Monday byĀ Amitesh Kumar, Police Commissioner, Pune City, who presented the awards and certificates. In addition, three traffic personnel who recorded the most effective enforcement actions through the PTP App were also felicitated with certificates of appreciation.

Impact of the PTP App

So far, 93,990 citizens have used the PTP App, resulting in 1,81,555 reported cases. After verification, 1,32,485 challans have been issued. Users of the app have also paid a total of ā‚¹3,83,37,900 in fines linked to verified cases.

The event was attended byĀ Ranjankumar Sharma, Joint Commissioner of Police, andĀ Manoj Patil, Additional Commissioner of Police (East Region).

Addressing the gathering, Commissioner Amitesh Kumar appealed to citizens to download and actively use the PTP App, and to continue supporting the traffic police by reporting undisciplined driving and traffic violations to help maintain smooth traffic flow in Pune.

At the conclusion of the programme, Himmat Jadhav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), congratulated the winners and expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and citizens present for their cooperation and participation.
