Pune: Heavy Vehicles Banned On Bhumkar And Control Chowk On Sinhagad Road Near Narhe To Ease Congestion During Peak Hours

Pune, October 4: In an effort to improve traffic safety and flow, certain roads and junctions under the Loni Kand traffic zone have been restricted for heavy and slow-moving vehicles during specific hours. The ban applies to vehicles such as dumpers, RMC mixers, JCBs, and road rollers, both for traffic movement and parking.

The restrictions apply to all heavy vehicles on the Pune-Nagar Road at Wagheshwar Chowk, from Wagholi to Kharadi Bypass, Wagholi to Loni Kand, and Kesanand Road from Wagholi to Shivaji Chowk, Kesanand Village. Additionally, on the Lohegaon-Wagholi Road between Lohegaon Chowk and Vishrantwadi, traffic and parking bans are enforced from 7 AM to 11 AM and 5 PM to 9 PM. 

Moreover, vehicles are prohibited from traveling and parking on the Lohegaon road from Lohegaon Petrol Pump to Vishrantwadi and on internal roads connecting these major routes between 7 AM and 11 PM.

The order, issued by Pune City Traffic Branch Deputy Commissioner Amol Zende, excludes essential services such as fire brigade, police vehicles, ambulances, and PMPML buses.
